Yesterday, Atmos Energy donated several boxes of different snack items for our students. The snacks were divided up, put into a gallon zip lock bags, and delivered to each classroom. At Little Railers Preschool, we strive to create classroom experiences that are connected to real-life experiences. The farm theme in the classroom really comes to life during a field trip to Miss Susan's farm! #gameon

Tonight High School Football travels to Little River. Good Luck Railers!

Third graders and preschoolers are working in partnership to complete hands-on activities that are tied to the books read during library time. There are many skills worked on during this time for both age groups, but the biggest benefit is the friendships developed between older and younger students. #gameon

HES fifth grade students in Mrs. Beames’s class have been working on creating Native American homes from the southwest region! #GameOnRailers

Congratulations to the HES September student of the month, Leonard Tiede - first grade student in Miss Scheetz's class. Leonard has been chosen as student of the month because he is always working really hard in class. He tries his best on all of his assignments and tests. Leonard follows the Railway expectations and knows how to be safe, respectful, and responsible in the hallways, classroom, and playground. Keep up the great work, Leonard! Leonard is the son of Megan Lemler.

PINK OUT!

Ms. Clark's MTSS has been studying cryptozoology this week, reading articles about Bigfoot, Chupacabra, and Skinwalkers. The articles explain the scientific reasons and beliefs behind these mythical beasts and how they influence different cultures.

On Monday, our 8th grade and 10th grade students participated in Reality U, a 90-minute financial literacy simulation that gives students a glimpse into what life could look like as a 26 year old. Each student is provided a monthly income, credit card debt, as well as their marital and family status. Students visit various stations where they manage their monthly finances, including paying their mortgage, utilities, food, car and medical insurance, as well as other common monthly expenses.
Thank you to our community volunteers who helped make this simulation possible!

The Lady Railer JV splits with Centre 21-25, 25-14.

She feels that she works hard, makes the right decisions and does the right thing. Kyleigh is the daughter of Stephanie and Josh Wooster.

HHS Student of the Month - September
Ashley Mascareno is the daughter of Katharina and Clay Bigham, Brian Mascareno and Melissa Arnold.
Ashley believes she was chosen because “I am always willing to help where is needed and work hard in not only my school work but extra activities that I do
including sports and clubs.”
Ashley is a junior at Herington, who involves herself in: FBLA, FCCLA, SALT and Volleyball.
Ms. Clark believes Ashley got student of the month because “she is an easy-going, funny, caring kid. Ashley is active in school and community, willing to lend a hand and contribute whenever possible.”
Congratulations, Ashley!
