COME VISIT THE BOOK FAIR! The libraries at Herington Elementary School and Herington High School are hosting book fairs this week. This is the first time in many years that the high school has hosted a fair for secondary students.
The book fairs will be open until 7:45 tonight. Wednesday they will close at 4 p.m., and Thursday they will wrap up at 6:30 p.m. Please note that we will close before conferences conclude on Thursday so items can be packed for shipping.

We are excited to announce that we will be offering our driver's education program again this summer. If your current 8th grader or high schooler is interested, please have your student sign up in the office or sign up during parent teacher conferences. Please call the high school office at 785-258-2261 if you have any questions.

On Tuesday February 27th, the current junior class will be taking the ACT at HHS. Testing will begin at 8:15 am. Late students will not be admitted, per ACT guidelines. Students will need to bring an approved calculator and an eraser. No food or drinks are allowed in the testing area.

First grade students recently experienced several fun learning opportunities. On Kansas Day Ms. Susan Mueller read S is for Sunflower to the students. On the 100th day of school, they counted out 10 pieces of 10 different snacks. In science they learned about the first unmanned spacecraft to perform a soft landing on the moon on Feb. 3, 1966. The students made their own "spacecraft" out of paper cups and pipe cleaners. #LevelUpRailers
