HHS March Student of the Month - Emma Alt

Emma is a senior at Herington High School, who involves herself in: Volleyball, Cheer, Track, NHS, FBLA, HOSA, SALT, Drama Club, Forensics, Scholar’s Bowl.
Ms. Clark believes Emma was chosen for Student of the Month “ because of her involvement in the school, her commitment to her studies, and her confidence in herself. She works hard for what she wants and perseveres through the challenges life throws at her.”

Congratulations to the HES March student of the month – Ryder Cronk, second grade student in Mrs. Meyer’s class! Ryder is such a hard worker in the classroom. She is a good example of how to follow our Railway expectations by always being kind to her peers and teachers. She has a great personality and knows how to bring a smile to the faces of those around her. Ryder is helpful and willing to lend a hand whenever needed. We are so proud of Ryder and how much she has improved this year. Ryder is the daughter of Katlin Gable and Steven Cronk.

HES Families: Thank you to the students/families that have turned in their Herington Hearts fundraiser packets! We are working on getting prizes ordered, etc. If you still need to turn in your Herington Hearts fundraising packet please do so as soon as possible!

The middle school staff members chose 6th grader, Sadie Haws as the March Student of the Month. Sadie participates in volleyball, basketball, track, student council, band, softball, swim team, and cheerleading. Sadie believes she was chosen as the middle school student of the month because she is respectful, responsible, and safe. CHANGE IN LOCATION FOR LITERACY NIGHT! The HES Literacy Night which was scheduled to take place from 6-7:30 Friday at the nature trail has been moved inside the HES gym because of projected cool weather and high wind speeds. Please join us Friday for these presentations: Milford Nature Center - Unlovable Animals, "Ms. Susan" Mueller, deer sheds and turkey calls, and guest readers. You can also complete a letter hunt for prizes, watch an archery demonstration, make a bird house, do a leaf rubbing, and create your own trail mix. Door prizes will be given at the end of the event. We are looking forward to a fun and educational evening and hope to see many HES families. #backontrack
