Congratulations to Diether Leach, Megan Mortensen, and Emma Alt! They were selected as Kansas State Scholars by the Kansas Board of Regents. More than 5500 Kansas students were eligible for this award, but only around 2200 were selected based on GPA and ACT scores. They represented Herington High School very well!!

Emma is a senior at Herington High School, who involves herself in: Volleyball, Cheer, Track, NHS, FBLA, HOSA, SALT, Drama Club, Forensics, Scholar’s Bowl.
Ms. Clark believes Emma was chosen for Student of the Month “ because of her involvement in the school, her commitment to her studies, and her confidence in herself. She works hard for what she wants and perseveres through the challenges life throws at her.”
