The middle school staff members chose 7th grader, Rubee Eggleston as the December Student of the Month. Rubee participates in cheerleading, volleyball, track, and softball. Rubee thinks she was chosen at the student of the month because she is kind to students and staff, and she helps people if they need help. Rubee also tries to encourage other student to be nice to others and helps younger students with opening their lockers and following their new schedules. She also helps other students on her teams learn the cheers or plays for their sport. Rubee is the daughter of Becca and Sam Eggleston.

The HES December student of the month is Johnathan Aumiller – kindergarten student in Mrs. Kahle’s class. Johnathan is so excited about learning new things. He watches, listens and follows directions well. If any student needs a friend or a partner, Johnathan will be the first to step up and fill that need. Johnathan is a true inspiration to our class with his positive attitude. Keep up the good work Johnathan! Johnathan is the son of Breanna Weber and Austin Aumiller.

High school students enjoyed their annual "Big Chill Day" before winter break. Sponsored by NHS, classes participated in various games including "name that [Christmas] tune," a balloon popping relay, and various board games. Each class also decorated their own ugly Christmas sweater and then provided a colorful runway walk for each sweater wearer. Special thanks to Mrs. Mein and FCCLA for the rootbeer floats!
