Ms. Hawkins' 6th-grade advisory class has to participate in a Valentine's Day Escape Room to receive their Valentine's Day treat! They had to work in groups to solve clues to unlock their gifts! They had to read clues, solve math problems, and perform science experiments to move on to the next clue.

Middle School Quiz Bowl competed in their first meet today in Wakefield.  8th graders tied with Rural Vista for second place with a 3-2 record, but the point margin was less for Rural Vista so Herington took 3rd out of 6 teams.  7th grade finished 3-2 also and took home 2nd place, earning a certificate!  Great job Railers!  They will travel to Centre on 26th.

Mr. Hirsch’s Kansas History class were learning about prehistoric Kansas. Student groups picked out a prehistoric animal and researched it. Then they recreated a 2D skeleton of the animal using popsicle sticks. “This is one of my favorite projects,” Mr. Hirsch said. “I love seeing the creativity of my students.”
