Congratulations to HHS sophomore, Carrie Roe, who was named to the KVA Honorable Mention All State Volleyball Team. We are very proud of you Carrie.

Herington FCCLA attended the District C Fall Leadership Conference on Thursday. Sarah Biehler and Tristyn Killer were district officers and helped organize the day.


Eight HOSA students are completing CPR training today. The instructors are Kathy and John Kershner. Students participating are Halle Rutschman, Emma Alt, Madi Becker, Tristyn Kremeier, Jameson Davis, Lexi Schaffer, Draven Krueger and Ally Friesen.

welcome Jeff Yalden to our community on November
13th, 2018 at 6:30 in the Elementary School. We discovered Jeff Yalden when we searched for a relevant motivational speaker who caters his message to schools’ themes and programs. His specialties include speaking on and training suicide prevention, raising awareness regarding mental health issues, and providing coping mechanisms for crisis situations.

HHS Students started Community Emergency Response Training tonight. Students learned how to shut off utilities and put out small fires.



First graders with Miss Fegan were cheering each other on as they played a counting game in MTSS math. The first one to 25 wins! #growinglearners

Mrs. Vinduska's psychology class attended "Behavior Mania" at McPherson University. Students participated in six different psychology related activities with McPherson University professors and students. A class favorite was a session titled "The Pendulum Knows" during which students used the power of their minds to swing a pendulum over a target. Afterwards, the students learned the psychology behind the swinging pendulum.




The Freshman and Sophomore girls trip to Salina tomorrow has been cancelled due to weather. We will try to re-schedule at a later date.
