“Eat More Veggies” was the name of the readers theatre performed by Mrs. Siegrist MTSS group.




Congratulations to Herington High School students who met their can drive goal of 600 cans. We collected 628! Students will donate their canned goods to the Family Resource Exchange. The can drive was sponsored by National Honor Society. Students will get to participate in the Big Chill Day on December 20th as a reward for meeting their goal.

Mrs. Beames's class made Thanksgiving centerpieces, to place on their tables next week.

Two MTSS classes came together today to participate in a turkey scavenger hunt. Students had to decipher various clues throughout the school in order to win.

Congratulations to Kloie McIntyre for signing with Cloud County Community College to run track. Kloie is the daughter of Josh and Mandie McIntyre. She plans in majoring in Social Work.

Readers' Theater

Students are in their second night of Community Emergency Response Training. They are practicing head to toe assessments and splinting.




The middle school staff members chose 6 th grader, Harley LaRosa, as the October Student of the Month. Harley has participated in volleyball and Student Council since she began middle school in August. Harley believes she was chosen as student of the month because she works hard in her classes and wants to be a good example of following the

HES families: We are rescheduling BINGO night for November 29th in the HES cafe and gym. We will follow the same schedule - free will donation meal until the food runs out at 5:00, and BINGO games from 5:30-6:30. BINGO cards can be purchased for $1 each (not limited to one per person). In honor of Veterans Day, we would like to thank the VFW for presenting to our students information on our Nations Flag.


Geometry students put their skills to the test to determine if triangles with various properties were congruent or not. Student A drew one triangle with the given properties, and Student B drew a different triangle with the given properties. Then the groups discussed whether the triangles were congruent or not based on their side lengths and angle measures.




Congratulations to HHS sophomore, Carrie Roe, who was named to the KVA Honorable Mention All State Volleyball Team. We are very proud of you Carrie.
