
The junior class will be going on a college visit tomorrow. The students were given the choice between Flint hills Technical College and Emporia State University. Mrs. Mein will be taking a small group to FHTC and Mr. Pritchard will be taking the rest of the junior class to ESU. For those students going to ESU, they need to give Mr. Pritchard $5 for lunch. They will be eating on campus at ESU. The students going to FHTC will need to bring lunch money and they will be eating off campus. We will leave by 8:15 and return before the school day is over.

Regionals at Herington tomorrow starting at 4:00. Come support the Lady Railers.

On Thursday, October 17th the Cross Country runners competed at the Wheat State League/Heart of the Plains League Challenge. All 4 runners achieved a personal record! Ty Braucher also broke the 20:00 mark for the first time. Within the WSL, we placed 5th as a team and our runners placed as follows:
Ty - 12th
Aidan - 19th
Kolton - 20th
Gage - 22nd

Railers: On Thursday, October 24th the Dickinson County Transition Coalition Resource Fair will be set-up in the HES cafe from 3:30-6:30 at 1403 N. D St. Herington, KS 67449. This is open for all Dickinson County students and parents. Please see the attached flyer for a list of the different community agencies that will be attending. This is free of charge and there will also be a prize drawing!

Herington FCCLA went to their District C Fall Leadership Conference Wednesday in Salina. Karizma Matthews was the President for the district and other members were leaders or attended breakout sessions on Leadership.







Seniors participated in Mock Interviews this afternoon. A special thank you to our community members who came to interview our seniors.





HHS teachers and students are happy to celebrate Mr. Paul this boss's day! It is also National Principals Month. Thank you for your hard work, Mr. Paul!




Art Competition Information




The National Blue Ribbon Award celebration at Herington Elementary School took place on Friday. The celebration included unveiling of Blue Ribbon banners, music, recognition of staff and dignitaries, an all-school picture, activity stations and a dance. A big Railer Shoutout to the many, many people who made this event so special. #RailerRewind






Mini Cheer Clinic Update:
Due to an exciting large number of students participating, the mini cheer clinic location has been moved to the Herington Elementary Gym. An email has been sent to all parents who have had their student sign up with more information. Please check your email and let us know if you have any questions.

Due to lack of numbers there will not be a JV at Herington tomorrow, October 14th.
