
Sarah Biehler is in Hesston, Kansas today for the FCCLA State Officer interview process. Herington should be very proud of the leadership that our students are given through our CTSO organization. She is among 15 students from around the state interviewing for 7 positions. Please send her positive thoughts. She will find out in the morning if she has made the officer team.


Congratulations to wrestlers Colby Lollar #106 and Ayden Lawrenz #132 for their 4th place finishes at the Council Grove Regional. Colby and Ayden will represent the Railers in Hays, Kansas next Friday and Saturday at the 321A State Wrestling Tournament! Go Railers!

FBLA Officers celebrated blue and gold day by wearing their FBLA polos.


Middle school students who sold 5 or more cookie dough tubs in the Fall Fundraiser enjoyed an ice cream sundae party last Friday! We had 34 students sell 5 or more!




HES Families: Students have the option and are encouraged to wear a green or gray shirt in honor of one our student's birthdays on Wednesday, February 19th. This student has been battling some illness for an extended period of time and we will send a recording of the school singing happy birthday to her.

Thursday is the last chance to buy tickets for the girls basketball raffle.

Senior English students completed a project that required them to mix English with a topic they were passionate about. They completed a research paper and then did a presentation over the topic.

Today was the first Forensics Tournament for HHS at Southeast of Saline HS. They took a great first group!
Those who medaled were:
Logan Diekmann-6th place in Extemp
Madi Becker-3rd place in Impromptu Speaking
Jessica Mascareno & Madi Becker-1st place in I.D.A. (This also qualifies them for state forensics in May)
The team also got a trophy for being Champions!!!
Such a great first tournament!! Coach Hirsch could not be more pleased! Everyone did fantastic today and did HHS proud!
There are still about 20 other students working on pieces to take to tournaments. The team will be a force to be reckoned with this season! Go HHS!!
