Congratulation to Tristyn Kremeier, sophomore at Herington High, who broke the school record for three pointers in a single season. The previous record was held by Chanell Makovec with 42 back in ‘09. Kremeier broke this record with 45 as of last Tuesday. We are excited to see what the next two years has in store for this athlete!

Dance from 6:00-7:30 this evening in the HES gym. This event is free of charge, all family members are welcome to attend, and all kids must be accompanied by an adult.

The HMS wrestling team competed at the Council Grove Invitational yesterday with many of them earning medals. Cameron Svitak - 1st Place, John Mancuso - 2nd place, Kwinton Barlow-Makenna - 2nd place, Dalen Armstrong - 3rd place, and Shiann Morrison - 3rd place.


Mrs Koehn’s class made dioramas to show animal habitats. We have been studying animals and how they survive in nature over the last few weeks during reading. #beingallwecanbe



Third graders is Miss Parks’ class are looking at the harmful effects of not brushing your teeth in support of dental health month! They put their labeling skills to use helping identify what is in each jar. After that, the students measured out 8 oz of a specific liquid and put an egg inside. The egg will be observed over the next 5 days to see what happens as a result of leaving a liquid on your “teeth”! Students each write down a hypothesis of which liquid they think will have the most damaging effects. Liquid A- gatorade Liquid B- lemonade Liquid C- orange juice Liquid D- milk Liquid E- water Liquid F- coke Liquid G- sweet tea Liquid H- bang energy drink Fun was had by all and we would love for our community to play along with us! The Herington Middle School Scholars Bowl team had a great first tournament in Hope today. The 8th grade went undefeated and took 1st!! And the 7th grade went 3-2 and got 3rd! Great job representing HMS!!



Herington High School is proud to announce that Sarah Biehler was selected to Kansas FCCLA Officer Team as the Officer of Finance and Cooperate relations.
