Herington High School January Student of the Month Carrie Roe Carrie Roe is the daughter of Tammie and Kenny Roe. Carrie believes she was chosen because she is “hard working, a determined student with big goals for myself. I maintain a 4.0 GPA wile still being involved in multiple extracurricular activities that have allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and grow as a person. I always strive to be the best person I can be to act as a role model and leader to younger students at Herington.” Carrie is a Junior who involves herself in volleyball, basketball, track, FBLA, FFA, Student Council, NHS, Scholar’s Bowl, Forensics, and is currently her Class President. When asked, Mrs. Beye said, “Carrie has developed into an exceptional leader over the past year. She has worked hard to change her way of thinking and realizes the importance of being a positive leader in her school, community and state. I am very proud of her accomplishments and look forward to what is to come for her in the future.” CONGRATULATIONS CARRIE!

Good evening. Herington schools will be closed on Friday January 31st due to higher than average student and staff illness. Homecoming activities will be rescheduled to February 4th. The homecoming dance will take place on February 8th. Northern Heights Basketball make-up game to be determined.
