Herington Middle School Student of the Month The middle school staff members chose 8th grader, Michael Beardslee, as the August Student of the Month. Michael participates in vocal, football, basketball, and track. Michael believes he was chosen as student of the month because he works hard in the classroom, is kind and respectful to teachers and other students and is willing to help out his classmates and teammates. Michael is the son of Les and Tia Beardslee.

Mrs. Koehn's class completed an activity today that required them to draw a picture of themselves and then write descriptive words about their characteristics. Then, Mrs. Koehn cut the papers apart and mixed them up, and distributed the descriptions to the class. The final step was for students to read the descriptions and match them to the correct picture of each student! #beingallwecanbe
