USD 487 Board of Education meeting for February has been changed! The Board of Education will meet on Wednesday February 17th at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education office.
HES Families: Reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday, February 10th) is our 100th day of school. Students are welcome to dress up in any attire that makes them look like they are 100 years old for our spirit day! Also, it is very important that students wear a heavy coat to school with the frigid temperatures. If you need a hat, gloves, scarf, coat, jacket, or any other cold gear please reach out to the office (785-258-3234) and we will work together to make sure we are keeping all of our HES Railer students warm this week!

Herington FCCLA will be doing a Food Drive next week for our local food pantry at the Family Resource Exchange.... Our State FCCLA community service project is to help our local pantry with the theme “Fill the Table” next week High School will be bring in canned foods and personal Hygiene products to help the FRE. The Advisory that brings in the most will get 4 pizzas for lunch on Feb 17th. Help us support our community.

Good evening, Herington schools will continue to operate in the "yellow" for the upcoming week. This means that all students in grades Preschool through 12th can attend in person. As a reminder, Monday February 8th is an inservice day for teachers. Students will not attend classes that day.
Reminders HMS games today are at Hope:
Boys will play in the old gym starting with C boys at 4:30, B boys 5:30, and A boys 6:30. The boys gym will be streamed on Rural Vista Athletics Facebook Page.
Girls will play in gym with A girls starting at 5:30, followed by B girls. The girls gym will be live streamed on the Hope Schools Facebook Page.
Today Herington FCCLA has completed and judged Star Events for District C all through Zoom. State Star Events will be held end of March via Zoom and a one day Virtual State meeting will be held April 12th.

USD 487 new spectator guidelines for basketball games allow up to 4 parent/guardian, siblings from the same household per athlete per family. Families are encouraged to sit in a pod that is socially distanced from other spectators.
