Congratulations to Kyley Sly who placed 4th at 321A State regional in Rossville, Kansas. She will participate in State Wrestling at Hays in two weeks.
Abby Elliott and David Dallinga were chosen Homecoming Queen and King at Herington High School Friday night at half-time of the boys' basketball game. The Railers won the game 46-43.

HHS Speech and Drama students took a trip to Friends University today to see a performance of “Guys and Dolls.” The actors and live band put on an incredible show. We hope the experience sparked creativity and an appreciation for the arts!

Fourteen students represented Herington High School in the Wheat State League Honor Band. These students were selected to play with other league schools' honor band students. The Honor Band performed at Kansas Wesleyan University on Monday, February 10, 2025.
The selected students are: Naomi Murphy, Adrian Harrison, Kyrie Lindsey, Cheyenne Purkeypyle, Hannah Pritchard, Payton Arnold, Jakaylynn Meier, Hunter Purkeypyle, Jesse Meier, Gage Billinger, Hunter Matthews, Gabe Vinduska, Aiden Rogers, and Mallory Arnold.
Due to the chance of weather moving in tomorrow night, the HS Basketball games at Centre tomorrow night have been moved up an hour. We will follow the following schedule.

HES wants to say a big THANK YOU to all of the local businesses that step up to do special things for our students and staff! We have recently received donations from Casey's, Iserve, Pizza Hut, and Barnes Heartland Foods. We have used the donated items to provide a little "pick me up" for our students and staff. HES also received donations from several businesses and families last fall for our National Blue Ribbon Award ceremony and celebration. We are so appreciative of all the support we receive from our local community!
