Reality U is returning to HMS/HHS and we'd love volunteers!!!
On Wednesday, September 24th from 8:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. we will be hosting our annual Reality U Financial Literacy Simulation with our 8th and 10th grade students, with Centre's 8th and 10th grade students also joining in on the fun. Reality U is a 90-minute financial literacy simulation that provides students a glimpse into what life could be like as a 26-year old. Each student is provided a monthly income, credit card debt, as well as their marital and family status. Students visit various stations where they manage their monthly finances, including paying their rent/mortgage, utilities, food, car & medical insurance, as well as other common monthly expenses.
If you are interested in volunteering with this simulation the morning of Wednesday, September 24th, please contact Melissa Brunner, USD 487 Director of Student Learning, either by email at mbrunner@usd487.org or by calling the HHS office at 785-258-2261.

Order of events at Council Grove Volleyball today.
The Herington FFA Chapter is proud to announce that Gage Billinger, a sophomore, has been selected to perform in the National FFA Band at the 2025 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this fall.
Billinger earned this honor through a competitive audition process, submitting a recorded performance that was reviewed by a panel of judges. As a member of the National FFA Band, he will perform on the national stage multiple times throughout the convention and will arrive three days early for rehearsals with fellow musicians from across the country.
The Herington FFA Chapter extends its appreciation to Corteva Agriscience for sponsoring the National FFA Band.
