Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade HES Families:
This morning (2/28/22), our kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students were invited to attend a “Buckets ‘n’ Boards” theatre production at the C.L. Hoover Opera House in Junction City in the afternoon on Friday, March 4th. This is free of charge and will be a fun experience for the students.
Buckets 'n' Boards Comedy Percussion Show is a spectacularly imaginative work brought to life by two prolific performers. Matt Levingston and Gareth Sever, two masterful musicians and comedians, bring a joyous charm to this full stage production. The show was born from their shared passion for music and rhythm, but it truly comes to life through the nonstop hilarious interplay between these two characters and their audience. From their imaginative songs, beautiful harmonies, dazzling tap dancing, crisp beatboxing, body percussion and bucket drumming, to a fresh and unique brand of clean comedy, Buckets 'n' Boards has crafted an original theatrical experience the entire family will enjoy!
We will bus all of our kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students to Junction City on Friday, March 4th. We will depart from HES at 12:00p.m. and return approximately 2:30-2:45p.m. Students will eat lunch at their normally scheduled times in the HES café and will be supervised by the HES classroom teachers, teacher aides, and special education paraprofessionals during the performance.
Please call our main office line at 785-258-3234 and let us know if your child will not be attending the theatre performance. Looking forward to a fun Friday afternoon at the C.L. Hoover Opera House!
