The purpose of this communication is to let you know that a threat was made by a middle school student today. Once we were notified of this, we were able to work through our processes, policies, and procedures to ensure that all students and staff remained safe. Safety is and always will be our top priority, and threats will not be tolerated. Thank you for your continued support of our students, each other, and our school community.

HHS April Student of the Month - Avery Monnington
Avery Monnington is the daughter of Nicole and Chris Will and Trampus Monnington.
Avery believes she was chosen because “I get my work done while getting good grades. I am positive during class and participate in class discussions and projects.”
Avery is a junior at Herington, who involves herself in; NHS, Cheerleading, FCCLA, Forensics, Stuco, Scholars Bowl.
Mr. Hirsch believes Avery was chosen for student of the month because “Helen Keller once said, “Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.” Avery is the epitome of this quote. She keeps moving forward, no matter the circumstances. She is a model for underclassmen. She is willing to try her best and to listen to advice. ”
Congratulations, Avery!
