Congratulations to Herington High School Kansas Honor Scholars.

HES Parents: Today our students observed an amazing “mindset mission” assembly that focused on never giving up, encouraging others, and doing their best. This assembly was free of charge! One thing we do have to do is offer yo-yos to be sold so the next school can have this same assembly opportunity. A letter went home with each student detailing how this can be purchased in the HES front office from 7:50-8:15 each morning this week. Thanks so much for the support!

Congrats to our Lady Railers for an exciting season, and ending the season with a Sub-State Runner Up finish. We are all so proud of you! Thanks to all the students and fans who showed up to support our Railers.

Mrs. Coup took all of the 8th graders to see a theater production of six short stories by the Chamber Theater Company, October 9. They
enjoyed seeing the stories “The Raven”, “The Tell-Tale Heart”, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, “The Monkey’s Paw”, “The Necklace”, and “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County”. A few of these they will
be studying later in class. They loved seeing the stories come to life through live theater.
