Middle school staff and students collected 539 non-perishable food items over the month of November that were delivered to the local food pantry! The students needed to collect at least 500 items to earn a chill out day on Friday, December 20th! This event was organized by the MS student council.

High School November Student of the Month - Craig Rutschman
Craig Rutschman, is the son of Kara and Kevin Rutschman, and has been awarded November Student of the Month.
Craig was asked why he felt he was chosen and he said, “I believe I was chosen for my involvement in classes and the conversations I build and fuel inside the classroom. I bring passion in the classroom on topics that interest me by putting my opinions out to strike a conversation. I feel I could be friends with everybody in the school with my open connections with others. I would like to give thanks to the staff for choosing me to be November Student of the Month.”
Craig is a junior who’s involved in Cross Country, Basketball, FBLA, FCCLA, and Drama Club
Mr. Hirsch believes Craig was chosen because,” he has been coming out of his shell even more! He has been trying new things and still working hard in classes. Craig in the play shocked and amazed everyone that came. He was the perfect Seymour Krelborn in “Little Shop of Horrors”. It was great getting to work with him on his acting and singing. I can’t wait to see what Craig does next!”

The middle school staff members chose 7th grader, Adrian Harrison, as the November Student of the Month.
Adrian participates in band, volleyball, basketball, track and Herington Hearts. Adrian believes she was chosen as the student of the month for her leadership, hard work, and respect towards others in the classroom, sports field, church, and community. Adrian also feels that she tries her hardest in class to follow the rules, completes her assignments, and demonstrates exciting energy in the classroom.
Adrian is the daughter of Chardy and Tony Magnett and Ryan and Stephanie Harrison.

HHS FCCLA students have started leading line dancing activities at the elementary school on Tuesday mornings. This week was "Going On A Bear Hunt" yoga. This is a great way to help students get their wiggles out before school starts. #beingallwecanbe
