After a year of planning, HMS & HHS were able to implement their redesign prototype. Students have been attending Advisory/Homeroom daily since last week, but today they spent the afternoon learning about Project Based Learning and Flex time. PBL is a student-driven project that will require students to think about Real-World topics. They will plan, research, and implement these projects on a timeline they create. When they finish, part of this process is to make their project available for community viewing. The schools also have included what we call FLEX time -- this is a time for students to continue PBL, receive help from teachers, attend club meetings, or take part in presentations. We are excited to see what happens as the year progresses. It's a great day to be a Railer!
