All schools will have a 2 hour delay tomorrow, February 3rd. No AM preschool, and no breakfast will be served.

Congratulations to Mrs. Stephania Martin and family on winning the Kansas Guidebook 2 for Explorers!She and her family explored the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Strong City!
Mr. Hirsch would like to thank everyone for sending in all their pictures of their Kansas Day Adventures! Everyone who sent a picture to Mr. Hirsch of their adventures were put into a drawing for the book and Mrs. Martin’s name was drawn.

Wheat State League Honors Band members.
Emily Nicholas, Tristan Huey, Jameson Davis, Lucas Vinduska, Mallory Arnold, and Adrianna Purkeypyle.
These students were selected to represent Herington High School in the Wheat State League Honors Band. The band consists of students from all over our league. These students spent the afternoon learning and rehearsing three songs for a performance on January 31, 2022, at the Shari Flaming Center of the Arts at Tabor College.

The first forensics tournament is a go! The HHS team only brought 3 today to Augusta but they are strong! Stay tuned this afternoon for results!
Next Saturday, a larger team will be heading to Abilene.

Congratulations to our Herington Middle School Spelling Bee Champion, 8th grader, Parker Holmes!
The 1st runner-up was 7th grader, Rebecca Beames, and 2nd runner-up was Winter Amoyan. Other students who will be moving on to also compete in the Dickinson County Spelling Bee are 6th Graders Calie Holmes, 3rd runner-up, and Levi Cronk.
They were the top spellers out of 15 middle school students who all competed in the middle school’s Spelling Bee, on January 26.
The Dickinson County Spelling Bee will be hosted by Solomon Middle School in the Solomon High School gym, Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.
