Frosting + Fun + Lots of Candy and Sprinkles = 3rd Grade Christmas Party. 3rd graders also celebrated reaching their AR goals with hot chocolate, popcorn, and the Polar Express!

Ms. Beren's fifth grade class enjoyed playing some Christmas games before break. For the first one, they were blindfolded and they had to scoop bows into a bucket using a spatula! The next game they had to stack marshmallows using a candy cane. Lots of teamwork for this one!

The Railer archery team traveled to Chapman, KS today for the first tournament of the season against 5 other schools from central Kansas. The Railers performed well, bringing home 12 individual medals and 2 team 1st place finishes. HS top finishers were, Gage (1st), Koryn (1st), Atalie (2nd) and the HS team placed 1st. MS top finishers were, Xane (3rd), Carly (1st), and Lillian (2nd) The Railer ES team filled the podium with the following top place finishers.. Boys: Christopher (1st), Waylan (2nd), Derek l (3rd) Girls: Brynlee (1st), Ava (2nd), Treygan (3rd) Gage (279) & Koryn (277) were the top Boy & Girl shooters (respectively) across all divisions for the tournament. Great Job Railers!!! The Railer Archery Team jumps into the heart of their season following winter break. We compete next on January 24th in Oswego, KS.

Mrs. Deutschendorf's kindergarten and Mrs. Meyer's 2nd grade collaborated to create beaded candy canes this morning. The two classes had a fun time working together and making beautiful ornaments!

The students were greeted in the gym on Tuesday with some special visitors! Stephania Martin from the H.E.S. PTO and Santa Rowdy came to read How the Grinch Stole Christmas to the students and hand out candy canes. But then another Grinchy visitor came to hear his story as well. The students loved it!

Mrs. Roth's Kindergarten class enjoyed decorating gingerbread houses this week. Thank you so much to all the parents who came to join their child for this activity. it was so much fun!

Last Wednesday the H.E.S. students had the opportunity to participate in Body Venture. Volunteers and H.H.S. students shared the purpose of different parts of the body as the elementary students "moved" through the body. It was a great learning experience!

Today and yesterday the senior class participated in Vice Presidential and Presidential debates as part of their mock election campaigns. They have been working hard to build political platforms and campaigning to win over their fellow students votes for the election next week! They have all worked so hard and I am so very proud of their hard work!
