2015 HMS YEARBOOK

Students, Parents, and Staff:

A 2015 middle school yearbook is currently being created. You can order your own personal copy online. Not only can you order your own personal copy online but you also will be able to personalize two pages of the yearbook which means you can enter your own personal pictures on your own personal copy.

If you plan on ordering a copy of this year's yearbook online, you must order before TUESDAY, MARCH 24. Flyers of how to do this were supplied to all parents of middle school students. If you have misplaced this information, just click on the links below for specific details on how to order online and how to personalize your own two pages.

We can order yearbooks through the school if ordering online is not an option for you. The middle school office will have order forms available, payment of $10.99 will be required with each order.

If you have any questions, please call the middle school office at 785-258-2448 or email Julie Albrecht (juliea@usd487.org).

Ask me how I got FRAMED!

Here at Herington Middle school we have some great students! To show this, we have made a place in one of the cases outside the office. Students who show good character get their picture taken and more. Be sure to ask the students how they got framed and they will share with you what good character traits they have shown.

How this works:

Teacher gives a ticket to student when good character is shown.

Student collects tickets:

3 Tickets = When student receives 3 tickets they recieve a Ribbon, their picture is taken and hung in case, and Mrs. Hendrix calls parent to inform them! (This is fun to call parents for a positive behavior!)

6 Tickets = Good Character Tag (Collect them!) and a Positive call home!

15 Tickets = Good Character Award Certificate and a pizza lunch with Mrs. Hendrix!

Herington Students Free to Games!

All Herington students (Preschool to 12th grade) will be allowed to attend sport games free of charge. So all students are encouraged to come out and support RAILER SPORTS!

Something new to the middle school this year is the "Teacher Supplies Wishing Tree" located in the entrance of the middle across from the restrooms.  There is a black metal tree that includes colorful leaves that teachers have filled out with supplies they wish to have in their room for the school year.  If parents want to participate they can take a leaf off of the tree, purchase the school supply, and return the leave and item to the main office.  The tree will have leaves on it throughout the year.  The middle school staff appreciates all the support from parents and the community!! A BIG THANK YOU to those parents who have already contributed items!!!
