ABOUT MR. BLACKWELL: I grew up in Aurora, Kansas and attended Concordia High School. I played baseball at Cloud County Community College. After graduating from Cloud County, I continued my education at Pittsburg State University where I also played baseball. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Education and went on to complete a Master's Degree Program in Industrial Technology. I have been a teacher in Herington since 1985. My wife is a math teacher at the middle school. In addition to teaching, we also farm. We have three children. Brett is majoring in Civil Engineering at KSU, Brian is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at KU, and Brianna is a freshmen at Herington High School.
