2010 HMS Musical "Tom Sawyer" Is A Success

Students in the March 25 production of the HMS Musical, Tom Sawyer, are to be congratulated for putting on a fine performance, according to HMS music instructor, Mrs. Anne Otte. Nearly 40 middle school students either performed on stage or helped behind the scenes in the hour-long show. Students worked on the musical during class time, and after hours, giving up seminar time and evening hours during the past two and one-half months. Approximately 300 persons from the community attended the 7 pm show at the Hilltop Auditorium. Several adults, including parents, also worked behind the scenes for the musical, while others helped with obtaining period costumes reminiscent of the 1800's.
