Dear Herington Elementary School Parent,
We would like to remind you of several events and activities that
will be taking place in November at the Herington Grade School:
• Tuesday, November 2nd is the bond election for the district. The
issue on the ballot asks if a new grade school should be built at
the high school/middle school complex. The EMS building next to the
hospital on Helen Street is the only location for voting on that
issue.
• On Wednesday, November 4th there will be a collaboration day for
teachers. Students will be dismissed at 1:30 pm. Lunches will be
served. Buses will run their normal afternoon routes. There will be
no After School Program or Fast Forward that day in the
afternoon.
• Mrs. Bryan, the school librarian, will hold the Scholastic Book
Fair Friday, November 6th to Friday, November 13th. Students and
parents may look at the exhibit and make purchases from 7:50 am to
8:20 am and 3:35 pm to 4:15 pm during the week. The Scholastic Book
Fair will be hosted by PTO on Tuesday, November 10th from 6:30 pm
to 8:00 pm in the grade school gym. Additional activities that
night are planned.
• There will be no school on Wednesday November 25th, Thursday
November 26th and Friday November 27th due to the Thanksgiving
Break. Classes will resume on Monday November 30th.
• There will be no After School Program or Fast Forward on Tuesday,
November 24th. Please make arrangements for your child’s
supervision that day.
