ABOUT MR. MIES:

I began my teaching career as a Jr/Sr high social science teacher and head junior high football coach. During my early career I taught a variety of social science courses, and coached numerous sports from tennis to wrestling. After receiving my administrative certification, I began my administrative career as an athletic director then went on to become a high school principal. The 2009-2010 school year will mark my 15th year as a principal.

My hobbies include hunting, weightlifting, walking, and reading. My wife, Carol, and I have two grown sons. Eric is a Certified Public Accountant in Kansas City, and Chad is attending optometry school in Oklahoma.
