ACTIVITIES FOR THIS WEEK, MAY 16TH-20TH:
Tuesday, May 17th—8th Grade Recognition Night at 7:00 pm
Wednesday, May 18th—4th Quarter Awards Assembly at 10:30 am
Thursday, May 19th—Last day of school—students dismissed at noon
Friday, May 20th—Teacher work day

1. There will be a dance for all students following 8th grade recognition tonight, May 17th. Students have to be eligible to attend.
2. Jury members from the musical that owe money for tee-shirts should pay Mrs. Otte by Thursday morning. Cost is $6. Thanks!
3. 8th graders who are interested in being a part of HHS singing groups next year should either talk or email Mrs. Otte.
4. We will continue to take orders for yearbooks. The cost is $16.00. The office has additional order forms.
5. Red Cross and Girl Scouts are offering a Babysitting Clinic on Tuesday, May 31st from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Chapman Methodist Church. Fliers are in the office if you are interested in the registration and the information.
6. Big Brothers and Big Sisters along with Herington Recreation Commission will be sponsoring a Fishing Derby Fundraiser on Saturday, June 11th. Entry forms are due by Thursday, June 9th and the cost is $20.00. Lunch and prizes are covered under the entry fee. Forms will be distributed during Seminar and additional forms are in the office.
7. There are fliers in the office regarding summer volleyball camp that will be held June 20th-22nd. Grades are based on the 2011-12 school year. 6th-8th grader camp will be held from 8:30-10:00 am and there is no cost for the camp.
8. Summer basketball camp for girl’s 6th-8th grade will be held July 11th-14th. Camp times are noon to 2:00 pm. Cost is $25.00 and registration deadline is June 24th.
