by Jennifer Gasaway
April 18, 2008

The Herington High School girls’ ensemble and three solos earned I-ratings at the regional music festival on April 5 at Concordia. This qualifies them to participate in the state music festival on April 26 in Concordia.
Soloists who earned I-ratings were junior Kady Albrecht, vocal solo and trumpet solo; and sophomore Alex Black, vocal solo.
The girls ensemble performed I Hear The Wind Mill.
Receiving II-ratings at the festival were the boys’ ensemble, which sang Stout-Hearted Men; freshman Taryn Siegrist, vocal solo; junior Jacob Mueller, trombone solo; and junior Amber Dolbow, flute solo.
The mixed ensemble received a III-rating for its performance of Since First I Saw Your Face. Junior Allisha Burgess received a III-rating for her vocal solo.
