Dear Parents,
Due to a conflict in scheduling, the Herington Elementary Field
Day will be changed from Thursday, May 8th to
Wednesday, May 7th. Kindergarten through
Fifth Grade will participate in the activities from 8:45am-11:45am
and 1:00pm-3:00pm. Lunch will run roughly from 11:10am to
12:45pm with the normal classroom rotation and shortened recess/
lunch times of approximately 30 minutes. The awards ceremony
will be Thursday, May 8th at 8:30 am in the grade school
gym. In case of inclement weather on May 7th the
Field Day will be rescheduled Wednesday, May 14th and
the awards on Thursday, May 15th at the same
times.
We recommend that your child or children that are participating
wear tie shoes.
We encourage all parents to come and watch their child or
children participate in their events. If you have any
questions concerning Field Day, please feel free to call Mr.
Harmison at 258-3234 ext. 230
If you would like to eat a school lunch with your child on Field
Day, a visitor lunch ticket must be purchased in advance.
The last day to purchase tickets will be April
30th. The cost is $2.65 per ticket.
Tickets are nonrefundable. You may stop by the elementary
school office to buy tickets, or complete the form below and send
to school with your child. Tickets purchased with the form
will be sent home with your child. You must have your
ticket with you on Field Day to pick up your lunch.
