Textbook and Class Fees
Textbook rental fees are due on the first day's attendance in any attendance center. Students and/or parents who feel that they cannot pay the listed textbook/workbook rental fees may appeal to the Board of Education for waiver of said fees. Inquire at the building principal's office.
Kindergarten -- $30
Grades 1-12 -- $30
Class fees may be assessed in some high school courses. Students and/or parents who feel that they cannot afford to pay the listed fees may appeal to the Board of Education for waiver of the fees. The following classes require an additional fee:
Band -- Students who check out a school-owned musical instrument will make a $10 deposit that will be refunded if the instrument is returned in the same general condition as it was when checked out.
Art -- $20 per semester
Foods Management -- $25 per semester
Photography -- $10
Wood Shop -- $20
Metals Technology -- $20
High and Middle School Laptop -- $25
Additional fees may be assessed for workbooks and practice sets in some high school classes.
Board Offers Activity Passes
USD 487 offers activity passes for adults and students. These passes allow the individual to attend all middle school and high school home athletic events except state-sponsored tournaments.
Student passes -- $20
Adult passes -- $40
Senior Citizen passes -- No charge for any person 65 or older who lives within USD 487 boundaries. Stop by the Board of Education office to pick up a permanent pass.
